Treatment under anesthesia
About two in five Dutch people are afraid of the dentist, of which 12 percent have extreme fear of a visit. Although most of our treatments are experienced as painless according to our patients, Vast Gebit In 1 Day offers treatments under anesthesia.
Types of anesthesia
It is common practice to administer a local anesthetic for procedures that may be experienced as painful. If you prefer and this is justified, you can also be put under sedation (an intoxication) or anesthesia for the treatment.
In principle, anesthesia is not necessary, because you will not feel any pain during the treatment. And if you do experience any discomfort, we will stop the treatment and immediately look for a suitable solution, for example by increasing the local anesthesia.
In most cases, treatment under anesthesia is not reimbursed. In addition, before your treatment, you will have to indicate that you want to be treated with sedation or anesthesia, so that we can call in an anesthesiologist and order anesthesia. So discuss your wishes regarding anesthesia with your dentist in advance.
